Each year, I author an event called Brawltimore in my local area. This year, for the first time, I managed to also qualify. While a friend and awesome organizer ran the event, I had the privilege of playing, and played four great opponents in four awesome rounds.

So, last month, I decided to set out a timeline for me to get some models finished painting and get on track to try and make something happen with my painting progress.

This week, I take a look at what is in store for me this coming weekend at the Brawltimore finals, what lists all be playing, and who my first three opponents could be, If I manage a miraculous break through!

I find that many times, Making lists is a very boring endeavor. Because of themes we have a fairly set regimen of what is known good, what is known to be mediocre, and what is considered the unplayable. It feels, fairly often, that all you’re doing is swapping casters within the known lists. This week, though, I’ve spent a lot of time in the dojo making lists, and it feels very strange.
Today, the journey through the metal of 2017 continues! While the last two articles were peppered with sludge and Doom, this week we hit some of the lighter, less suicide inducing metal genres! come on in and enjoy!
