Continuing the CID News Rampage, these are the Hot Takes on the let’s Get a Weird portion of the CID that PP released yesterday. I will be doing my own write up once all the rules die down and the final CID document exists. Until then, enjoy Ryan Babcock, aka the Warcock’s take on things!
At NOVA, I was able to get in 4 games with Scaverous. It’s not as many as I wanted (8) but it was more than I expected as I was in charge of the tournaments. Three were in the team tournament, and two were pick up games that I was able to sneak in. Let’s take a look at them!
So, I love skorne, have played them for a long time, but have not gotten around to them since MK II. With the CID around the corner, A friend who plays skorne much better than I asked if he could have some space to put thoughts together on the site. I OF COURSE agreed. Read his Predictions, Wishlist and other insanities below!
Just because I’m pretty set on my lists for the next while doesn’t mean that I’m not thinking about other lists or casters. Let’s take a look at what I would love to play if I had enough games in my system to just play whatever I wanted:
Well. I’ve been playing a Scaverous list for a while now, and there were some problems with the list. Now, though, after a couple changes, I think I’ve settled on a list I am very, very happy with, especially into this new medium based meta.
This post is going to be something that I’ve been working on for a while in my head. It’s going to be hard enough to convey the message that I want, so I’ve shied from actually typing this one up. However, I think now is as good a time as any. Lets get this out of the way.
Well. I finally did It. With nine slayers assembled and painted, I decided to take them with me as my pair for Scaverous in what turned out to be a massive local tournament (32 players with multiple turned away). How did it go? Let’s talk about it!
I’ve been on a Scaverous kick since before Lock and Load, and I’ve really enjoyed my run with him, which has started to make me curious what I would pair him up with when I finally do get to a tournament. I’ve taken a look at a number of lists and am still trying to parse out what covers, and doesn’t cover the Lord Exhumator.
Back in my day, Assassination was not only a viable solution to Warmachine and Hordes, it was one of, if not the, best solutions. Casters were squishy, spells were powerful, and knockdown was absolutely everywhere. This is how I cut my teeth, so Its no wonder that I itch for assassination all the time. Enter, the Scaverous Solution.
