While I was thinking of doing a write up of my last tournament, they have been 5 games or longer, and its a lot of talking just to say, to absolutely no ones surprise, that Denny 1 is good. Instead, I’ll talk about what I am brewing in my head and trying to work out for OTC, which I will be attending in just two short weeks!
While Normally I’d do battle reports of my latest tournament ( I went 3-2, Huzzah!) This week something interesting and cool dropped hours before writing this article: A new caster. I’ll keep up on the iterations of her prior to posting this on Tuesday, but lets take a look at our newest, partisan, warcaster, Rahera, Terror of the Wailing Sea.
I’ve been riding the Scaverous train for a long while now, seven months, as far as I can remember. Its had ups and downs, and I have had a lot of fun using him and getting used to the list. This tournament I once again brought Scaverous and Gaspy 3 just to make sure that I never encountered guns. It was the Third of the Brawltimore Series that we run down here every year, and this one went the distance: 20 players, 5 rounds. Lets get to the reports!
Well, The CID has come with the Bane Knight UA in it, and it is an interesting peice. It has everything that the Lock and Load preview said it would have and more. I want to take a look at what it does, does not, and can possibly, do.
When I was first testing Scaverous, I was having a pretty good time into most heavy infantry. It was hard to maintain coherency and cohesion when models were getting Choking ashed, pulled apart by Black Ogrun, and other nasty effects. Now, though, there is a single strange problem that my list has to contend with that I don’t – right now – have an answer for. Let’s look.
At NOVA, I was able to get in 4 games with Scaverous. It’s not as many as I wanted (8) but it was more than I expected as I was in charge of the tournaments. Three were in the team tournament, and two were pick up games that I was able to sneak in. Let’s take a look at them!
Just because I’m pretty set on my lists for the next while doesn’t mean that I’m not thinking about other lists or casters. Let’s take a look at what I would love to play if I had enough games in my system to just play whatever I wanted:
Well. I’ve been playing a Scaverous list for a while now, and there were some problems with the list. Now, though, after a couple changes, I think I’ve settled on a list I am very, very happy with, especially into this new medium based meta.
This post is going to be something that I’ve been working on for a while in my head. It’s going to be hard enough to convey the message that I want, so I’ve shied from actually typing this one up. However, I think now is as good a time as any. Lets get this out of the way.
