Players and Gamemasters often share the responsibility of the driver’s seat of the adventure, with each one responding and reacting to each other to create a fun and memorable story. Every once in a while, though, the players forcibly eject the DM and take control of the game in a bizarre, awesome, and unintentional way. Many everyday conveniences we take for granted are a very long way off, and often haven’t even been thought of as a something that people should even desire. The World is built, its natural laws surrounding magic have been established, its been populated with animals and plants, and we have a general knowledge of the cultures that we have options for along with the general history. The last few articles have revolved around how traditional civilizations exist. I do want to hit on a-typical civilization, like tribalism, nomadism, and other types of pre-modern societies pop up, but I think that is for a later time.
