In June, I did my July Warmachine article early, as Lock and Load was revealing all sorts of cool goodies, and I wanted to wait until after the themes came out to give them a solid once over on how they are going to affect my list building, if at all. So, with that said, let’s take a look at our new themes!Continue reading
Each of the last 6 years, I’ve been to Lock and Load in Seattle, Privateer Press’s hometown convention, and one that showcases the work they are doing each year, and previews the year to come. This year, I stayed at home. This is the news coming out, and What I think of it going forward.Continue reading
A while back, while they were previewing the themes, I did a sort of mini-write up on what was coming in the future following the three themes, and what I thought was going to happen with them. Now, months down the road with all the Theme’s set out, I wanted to take some time to go over them in a bit more detail, shedding light on what some of the standard archetypes, as I see them are, as well as strengths and weaknesses. This week. we look at the Bane Host.
She is finally on the way. Skarre 3, Admiral of the Black Fleet, has come to our pre-order doors and she is available in her carded glory to theorize and build lists on. Today, the first part of our experience with Skarre 3. There is likely to be a massive time span between today’s theory and the first two games because she’s not coming out for some time you. Welcome to Skell likely returns next week!
Normally, I do my midpoint review after having two games with the caster, trying to take stock of the way that they play and make some changes to how they operate. This time, though, I was at a tournament, and got in three games in a row, so we’ll do the midpoint there.
I figured, at this point in time, I might as well make it a series, right? With posts on Black Industries and Slaughter Fleet Raiders I thought putting out another article on the final theme of the Great Thempocalypse of 2017 would be just fine. Lets take a look at the Satyxis theme, Scourge of the Broken Coast
This week, I’ll be heading to Lock and Load, out in Seattle. I’ll be hanging out and playing games in the Iron Arena all weekend, with the exception of making a farce of myself playing in the Masters. Whats the plan with those games, eh? Continue reading
Well, thanks everyone.
Once again, I get stuck with a bottom barrel caster, which is fare, given the Internets penchant for delivering the best possible result to the most poorly asked questions. Agathia and Mortenebra 2 were excellent surprises that I was glad to have played, but Sturgis was just misery all around. Well, except for one game. I kept thinking to myself, at least its not Denny 2. Well, here we are! Lets see what I’m going to do with her!
Well, Here we go.
This is one of the fastest I have ever turned around a caster, and I’m pretty happy with it. Is Morty 2 perfect? Nope, but she is really fun, has some great tricks, and feels good.
I’ll be putting aside my Tour de Cryx for this week to take a look at the CID process that Privateer press unveild today in regards to the Steamroller 2017 Organized Play format. If your interested in what I have to say, my opinions, and what I like and don’t, come on in, lets take a look.
