Once I’d played a few games with Skarre 3, I was pretty solidly in love with both the concept and the character. She is a strong and versatile caster that runs melee the way I like to run melee. I’d not run into anything that challenged the casters durability or long game, but I was confident with her. So confident, I decided to take her to a tournament, and pair her with a list I was determined not to play unless I saw absolutely no way to win with Skarre 3. She did well, let’s see the lessons. Tour de Cryx Continued – The Admirals New Boat – Skarre 3 Midpoint
Back over two months ago, I wrote up a few lists with Skarre 3 for when she came out, and I’ve finally been able to get more than theory time with her. I’ve dropped her onto the table three times now, so let’s take a look at what she’s done and where I am considering taking her in the future.
The Tour de Cryx Continued – The Admirals New Boat – Skarre 3 Overview
She is finally on the way. Skarre 3, Admiral of the Black Fleet, has come to our pre-order doors and she is available in her carded glory to theorize and build lists on. Today, the first part of our experience with Skarre 3. There is likely to be a massive time span between today’s theory and the first two games because she’s not coming out for some time you. Welcome to Skell likely returns next week!
Tour de Cryx Continued – The Deneghra Surprise II – Midpoint Review
Continuing from the first post, I’m gonna take a look at the games I got to play with Deneghra 2 and see how she shaped up, what changes I would make to her list, and what gave her fits.
Tour de Cryx Continued – The Deneghra Surprise Part II – Overview
Well, I knew I wouldn’t be done at the end of the year, because Skarre 3 was on the horizon, but until the CID came about and Denny 2 got a massive facelift, I wasn’t sure I would be coming back to the Tour so soon. Just a few short weeks ago, we were given the new look of our Wraith Witch Supreme, and man, It looks great.
Tour de Cryx – Victory Lap
This years main focus, gaming wise, was the Tour de Cryx, and though at times i had extreme doubt about whether or not I was going to be able to finish it, I made it to the end with plenty of time to spare. Its a great feeling, but now what? First, I have to look back in order to look ahead.
Tour de Cryx – The Skarre 1 Engine – The Full Experince
It is both satisfying and appropriate that my final article of 2017, published in the final days of this year, is the conclusion of the Tour de Cryx. I did it! There were a lot of times along the way that I wasn’t sure, because life got in the way, but at the end, I was able to clear enough time to make sure that I was able to make it all the way to the end. So, here we are, the final Caster, the final list, and the final article, of the Tour de Cryx: Skarre 1.
Tour de Cryx – The Lich2 Kingdom – Full Experience Post
While I was busy writing all the articles for Asphyxious 3, I was also playing games, and the Community decided that I was going to have to save Skarre 1 until the end of the tour, so I was stuck playing Asphyxious 2, the original Lich Lord, first. What was I possibly going to do with this paupers caster?
Tour de Cryx – The Hellbringer Experiment – Retrospective.
I am burning through casters, here at the end of the tour! Its a sprint to the finish, and that means that I’ll be writing more of these, I do believe, than one a week. I wrote the first two on Gaspy 3 last week: The overview and the midpoint and now I’m putting fingers to keyboard to get the final one out. I went through a bit of a metamorphosis through my time playing, and I got two games in with my final incarnation.
Tour de Cryx – The Hellbringer Experince – Midpoint
Normally, I do my midpoint review after having two games with the caster, trying to take stock of the way that they play and make some changes to how they operate. This time, though, I was at a tournament, and got in three games in a row, so we’ll do the midpoint there.
